A classic from the German town of Lübeck, which is world famous for its marzipan. This holds a lot of memories for me, since my paternal grand-parents lived there, and I grew up with Niederegger marzipan and was occasionally treated to this delightful torte.
It is delightfully rich, but at the same time light, it is creamy, but not heavy. Full of hazelnuts, almonds, marzipan and whipped cream - it is a real dream-come-true for any marzipan lover!
